Dr.
Richard E. Nora
Dr. Nora has served as the Medial Director of the Center
for Cancer Care since 1999. Dr. Nora earned his undergraduate
degree from Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana,
and his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons,
Dublin, Ireland. He completed fellowships in hematology
and oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and University of
Maryland Cancer Center. Dr. Nora is Board Certified in
internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He
has served a President of the Winnebago County Medical
Society, and is a clinical associate professor for medicine
at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. |

Dr. George T. Bryan Jr.
Dr. George T. Bryan, Jr., is a radiation oncologist at the
OSF Saint Anthony Center for Cancer Care. He recently received
a three-year appointment as Cancer Liaison Physician from the
Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Dr.
Bryan is part of a national network of more than 1,600 volunteer
Cancer Liaison Physicians. The Commission on Cancer is a consortium
of professional organizations dedicated to reducing the morbidity
and mortality of cancer through education, standard-setting,
and monitoring the quality of cancer care. Its core functions
include setting standards for quality, multi-disciplinary cancer
patient care and cancer data collection at more than 1,400
approved facilities, surveying those facilities to evaluate
compliance with the standards, and using the data to develop
effective educational interventions to improve cancer care
outcomes at the national, state, and local level. |

Dr. Kent Hoskins
Dr. Kent Hoskins is Board Certified in internal
medicine with a sub-specialty in medical oncology. He earned
his medical
degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, He has published
articles in many distinguished medical journals and speaks
nationally on breast cancer genetics. Dr. Hoskins is the
Medical Director of the Women's Breast Cancer Risk Assessment
Program and the Colon Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment Program.
He participates in a number of important research projects.
He completed his internship and residency at the University
of Iowa and his fellowships in hematology and oncology
at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr.
Hoskins also completed postdoctoral Research in cancer
genetics at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Mete Korkmaz
Dr. Mete Korkmaz, oncologist at the Center for Cancer Care,
is Board Certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and
hematology. He completed his internal medicine residency and
did his hematology and medical oncology fellowships at the
University of Illinois in Chicago. He is a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians, a member of the American Society of
Clinical Oncology and a member of the American Society of Hematology.
He has published, spoken at numerous medical conferences and
participated in a number of important research projects. |

Dr. Neil Das Gupta
Dr. Das Gupta, radiation oncologist, is Board Certified in
therapeutic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He
earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University, Durham,
NC, and his medical degree from the University of Illinois
at Chicago College of Medicine. He completed his internship
at the University of Illinois of Chicago, Department of Surgery,
and his fellowship in radiation oncology at the University
of Chicago. |

Dr. Ebenezer Berko
Dr. Berko earned his medical degree from the School of Medical
Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
in Kumasi, Ghana, and a Master of Public Health from the
University of Limburg in Maastricht, Holland. He earned board
certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Berko completed a three-year residency at Cook County
Hospital in Chicago and a three-year fellowship in oncology/hematology
at Cook County Hospital/Rush Cancer Institute in Chicago. Dr. Berko is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology,
the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Association,
the American College of Physicians and the American Society
of Internal Medicine. He has been published in several medical
journals.
